About Naksan Park

Naksan Park is sometimes called Nakta Park. The park's name refers to its hump-like appearance, as “nakta” is the Korean word for camel. “San” means mountain.

It was one of the four guardian mountains, along with Bugaksan, Namsan, Inwangsan, of the capital of the Joseon Dynasty.

From Dongdaemun Station, you can catch a bus to the top of the mountain. Local residents use Naksan Park as a spot to exercise in the mornings. There are less people and the air is cool and fresh in the morning. (

) From Dongdaemun, I went up to Daehak ro. Although it is a bit difficult to climb, I find the view beautiful. The night views are beautiful because it is well kept. In the middle is a village with murals.

) It is a nice park with a good castle road and a good atmosphere. The only downside is that parking is so hard it s better to go on foot. (

) I think it s a good way to go for a walk after going to college. But there seems to be not so much to see. It seems like you do a lot of walking with the dogs. It would be nice to go on a clean, quiet and fine dust free day (
