I came here during the Lunar New Festival and entry was free. I arrived just as the guard was changing. It was very intriguing to watch. The day I went was 17 c but there were still people in hanboks!! After the guard changed the staff handed out a free gift to celebrate the new year. A great place for history lovers and photographers. Just come on time for the guard change ceremony.

Make sure to stop by the Korean costume shop at the entry to rent clothes and to enter the palace for punch cards

Although it is extremely cold in winter, it's well worth the effort. Hanfu can be worn to gain entry. It is an excellent place to get pictures taken and to experience Korean culture.

21/09/22 Since my childhood, I've been going to this palace every chance I get. I first visited it when there was the National Museum of Korea. I also went to the Gyeonghoeru Contest. I still have many fond memories.
